Member Chris Hornberger provided an update on Camp Tidnish. Early this year, Joanne Bernard of  Easter Seals Nova Scotia shared how the physical camp needed some TLC. While the camp is run by Easter Seals, the camp is owned by the Amherst Rotary Club. Apparently, the former Rotary Club of Halifax had been involved with the construction of the pool at the camp. We will update members on more details when they come available about our commitment to the pool.

In alignment with RI President Gordon McInally’s goal to put some focus on Mental Health this year, Louisa Horne thought it would be good to start with learning a bit more.  Louisa is gauging interest in having the St. John’s Ambulance Mental Health First Aid course delivered for Rotary in the Halifax area.

Shyamal Prajapati, a member of the Rotaract Club of Junagadh India, is starting a master's program at DAL in September. Like many students, Shyamal is struggling to find housing.
