Jun. 29, 2022 - Jul. 03, 2022
8th Annual Harbourside Ribfest, Alderney Landing, Dartmouth, June 30, July 1,2 and 3, 2022!
The Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour is pleased to announce the return of Harbourside Ribfest to the Waterfront for the eighth year in a row (last 2 were delivery only), this time in a new location on the Dartmouth Waterfront – Alderney Landing. The event will host five unique rib trucks, exciting local vendors and tens of thousands of satisfied visitors. The popularity of this event benefits the entire community as all profit is utilized by the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour to service many local and international charities. The date of this years event is June 30 and July 1,2 and 3.
The event has been extremely successful in raising over $500,000 for various charities over the past seven years, while satisfying an inherent demand for more successful events on the waterfront. We have hosted as many as 81,000 satisfied visitors over the weekend on the Halifax site, and are excited that the new location will allow easy access to our returning visitors, and an opportunity to entertain a new audience!
“We are thrilled that Ribfest is back, live, for another year”, says Andrew Bishop, Chair of the Harbourside Ribfest Committee. “We will be ramping up the entertainment, and moving to an established new location. Once again, there is no entrance fee”.
The Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour is a vibrant Club of 60+ members, representing a broad range of backgrounds and professions. The group is committed to charitable giving both locally and internationally; to personal and professional growth and development; and to having fun in everything we do. The club is one of 35,000 worldwide. Some of the local projects the club works with include Joseph Howe Elementary Food Program and Souls Harbour. Further, we have done development projects in the Gambia, in addition to providing service and funds to several youth programs such as Interact Clubs and Youth Exchange. |

Everyone is invited to the Seaport Social (hotel bar) for an informal social opportunity following the assembly.

FAQsWhat is a Club Assembly?
A club assembly is a meeting of all club members, including officers, directors, and committee chairs. I am not a member. Can I attend an assembly?
Yes. New and prospective members should attend the assembly to understand the club better.
Can I help with the assembly?
There are a couple of ways to help.

Oct. 25, 2022 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.
As you may know, World Polio Day is coming up, and to celebrate we are having a Pints for Polio night at the Celtic Corner in Dartmouth. The event will take place on Tuesday, the 25th of October 2022, from 5pm-9pm, and operate as a drop in. Moosehead has generously come on as a sponsor, and will be donating $1 from every pint of Moosehead Lager draught sold that night to Polio Plus!
THANK YOU Moosehead!
We will also be running a small silent auction (if anyone has businesses they could donate a gift card or something from, please reach out!) and 50/50, all for the benefit of Polio Plus.
Our resident Polio Expert, Stella Roy, will be on site to chat about what is currently happening with polio worldwide, and there may even be some swag!
You can purchase some food, enjoy a cold one, and see friends in Rotary you may not have seen since the start of 2020!
Details are in the graphic below, which we would love to see shared on your club social media. Sharing in your networks is encouraged, as Moosehead is donating $1 from EVERY SINGLE MOOSEHEAD PINT SOLD that night, Rotarian or not!
If you have any questions, or would like to make a donation to the auction,
Please reach out to Ashley Butt rotary.ashley7820@gmail.
