As our wine survivors were banished from the tribe, an unusual thing happened. Spontaneous poetry erupted from the email chains. Here is a collection of poetry we are calling "Grapes of Wrath: Verses from the Vineyard's Edge". See the elimination video here.
Poetry's not my jam, it's true, so I asked a clever AI to help me rhyme a line or two!
In the land of grapes and vines galore,
A group embarked on a wine-score war.
Adrienne with her glass, sparkling and neat,
Alex H. swirling a vintage sweet.Alex R. sniffed a bottle so rare,
Ashley laughed with a flair, debonair.
Bob uncorked a blend, rich and deep,
Chris H.’s choice made taste buds leap.Chris N. poured a red, bold and grand,
Cindy clinked her glass, a white in hand.
Clarke debated, Merlot or Chardonnay?
Danielle sipped slowly, enjoying the fray.Mike, with a nose for the finest brew,
Mapped out his strategy, clear and true.
Paul with a Shiraz, dark as night,
Sally’s Riesling, a sip of light.Scott raised a toast with a robust Zin,
Stephen's Cabernet brought a cheeky grin.
Valerie’s Pinot was the talk of the town,
In this wine survivor, who’d wear the crown?Amidst the laughter, the cheers, the fun,
Mike stood out, the champion won!
With a palette supreme and a discerning eye,
He chose the best, under the grapevine sky.So here’s to Mike, our wine guru,
And to the crew, a hearty salute!
In the world of wines, so vast and divine,
They celebrated friendship, one glass at a time.

Sally is her first name
And she does love her wine.
But unlike her last name,
She just couldn't hold on!
-Malloy
Most times the Peacock is the star of the show.
So the failure to survive is truly a blow.
Though Scott hoped to see his wine rack stuffed.
This Peacock's optimism just got snuffed.
-Malloy
An experienced prosecutor perhaps known for his legal zeal?
Will be quite familiar with the route to the Court of Appeal.
Alas, no such avenue exists with the Wine Survivor's Edict.
And so, for this time, Chris must accept this as his final verdict.
-Malloy
Did she know what was on offer ?
'Cus she didn't scream or kick.
She bowed out smiling gently
But inside, did she say, "Ick" ?
Maybe today you'll see her shopping,
Her own choice of wine to pick.
No complaining and no whining
From our strong lady, Ms. Bobyk!
-Titus
Not often that I try to rhyme.
never really took the time.
but I can’t wait much more.
delivered wine for friends, small chore
Including mine total of four
Voted off the other three
Leaving one owned by me
I am not feeling any guilt
My hope of winning will not wilt
-Paynter
If the truth is laid bare,
Not sure she will care.
For Valerie's a teatotaller -
Meaning she's always cold sober.
-Malloy
I didn't know our Ms. V
Was all about tea !
So shopping she'll still do
To choose wisely for the few
Who are blessed to have her as a guest,
Where the invitees are none but the best !
-Titus
Up next at the council there were twelve
Each one hoping the next wasn’t themself
When Cindy saw her name
She knew she was out of the game
So she put her wineglass back on the shelf.

What? ! It was me you tossed out with the rest? I'm Titus ! not Tight Ass. I'm as generous as the best !
I sit here on a rock in the midst of the sea and trust you with the wine our friend Clarke bought for me.But wait ! Was it him who turned on me today ?
Did he form an allegiance with that blonde - Brenda Fay ?Or was it Thomas himself who set me adrift ? He has the best way to run from me, his wings will just lift.It couldn't be Ashley as my daughter's the same name ... Though she does have a dark side... she might be to blame.Butt could have been jealous of Tight ass it appears - but I don't even have one, it went with the years !Well, mates, most of you don't even know this Titus from Brier, it's not Kimmy's Schmidt's friend from the show that was on fire (oh come on, who didn't watch TV crap during COVID ?!!).May the winner enjoy every drop of the wine, I hear a mimosa and in it I will whine. Oh, hush, it's the weekend and also after nine !
-Titus
Ashley Butt, a player bold,
In Wine Survivor, her tale was told.
She sipped and swirled, she played with glee,
But alas, her journey ends with no victory. With glasses raised, she faced the game,
Strategizing sips, aiming for fame.
But oh, the twist, the turn, the fate,
Sent her packing, a bit too late. Her Merlot skills, they did impress,
But in this game, there's no finesse.
She faced the vote, her name was read,
From the wine glass, she's now been shed. The Pinot Noir and Chardonnay too,
Couldn't save her from the final adieu.
With a cork pop and a bittersweet sigh,
Ashley Butt bids Wine Survivor goodbye.Though she's gone from this wine-filled brawl,
Her spirit lingers, cheers to all!
For in this grape-stained, fermented land,
Laughs and memories, forever stand.
-Gosine
His time had come,
P Rad was done.
He may have been the best of us,
but now he was out with the rest of us.
-Butt
A member of a wandering clan in medieval times on a quest for sustenance and avoidance of enemies, he pursued the wine quest and yeh, after surviving numerous challenges he was building a sense of immunity, nigh invincibility, as he continued to survive in the face of many of his fellow clan members who fell from the relentless Tom Paul yet lo, upon that same eventful date of the Halifax Explosion, the largest man made explosion in history, a near equal fate befell him as he was struck by the same Tom Paul, who haunted his clan, and with animus inflicting additional injury upon him by the summonsing of the memory in days of yore of his last bare survival experience by cold beans in the woods of the place called Point Pleasant, yet he would not survive this fateful day, neigh this would be his last day and he shall not taste of the wine that he sought, yet in the spirit of the clan he urges the remaining others to pursue the quest until one shall taste victory and evade the relentless pursuit of the Tom Paul.

It's with sadness I go
Bidding you all adieu
But most what I'll miss
Is the wine and a promise
Of international food at Christmas.I'm here in Mexico
I don't miss the snow
Basking in the sun
And having much fun
So wine and food
Are all yummy and good.So with that adieu
Till 2022+2.
-Hornberger
Another one down, 8 left to go
But this one survivor had already escaped the snow.
Her fellow survivors didn't feel bad about voting her out
Chris H was the next, there was no longer doubt.
-Butt
He was already living at the Westin
When the group decided to best him
The tribe of voters
decided his time was over
No joy Beaufoy was out.
-Butt
Such a shame
No one to blame (?)
For drawing my name
To end my chances of winning the game.
-Beaufoy
It is not a lark
We kicked out Clarke
Although he is fine
there will be no wine
and so the story goes
-Bobyk
He thought he was safe
From falling on his face
But when the tribe chose Clarke
He had to find another place to park.
