At our Friday morning breakfast meeting, we take the time to introduce and recognize Rotary Clubs from around the world.
This week we recognize the Rotaract Club of Kabale Institute of Health Sciences. Located in Southwestern Uganda, Kabale is a small city about the size of Thuro. What is interesting about Kabale is how they have one Rotary club but four Rotaract clubs. Rotaract clubs in Kabale are People of Action.
Monday, October 24th is World Polio Day. The Metro Halifax Clubs are planning a fundraiser for that evening (Pint for Polio). More details to come! Please direct questions to Ashley Butt.
There has been a Rotary Bridge Club in the Halifax/Dartmouth area for 40-plus years. While COVID put a pause on the club, Bob Power is now attempting to restart it. If you are interested in playing bridge, please contact Bob Power.
In lieu of a regular Friday breakfast meeting on September 30th, 2022, we would like to invite members to participate in Truth and Reconciliation Day activities. If you know of any events this day, please reach out to Jillian. We will be sharing these details closer to the date. More to come!
We have updated our club’s policy of storing recorded Zoom meetings. As a result of storage limits, Zoom recordings stored in the Zoom cloud will be deleted after 3 months. If you would like a recorded meeting to be retained longer than 3 months, please reach out to info@rotaryhalifaxharbour.ca.
You can see our updated Zoom Recording Retention Policy here.
