As a member, you can opt into this service, which seamlessly integrates with our club calendar to send personalized reminders and alerts directly to your email and cell phone. This initiative is part of our ongoing efforts to enhance member engagement.

 

Rotary Ping leverages our access to Google for Nonprofits, ensuring reliable scheduling and alert management at no extra cost to our members. This flexible system allows us to quickly implement new ideas and adjustments based on your feedback. Manage your alerts and preferences directly through a simple sign-up form, accessible 24/7. Text reminders are optional, and standard rates apply.

 

Our system utilizes Twilio, a third-party SMS text provider, to handle text reminders efficiently and cost-effectively. Please note that alerts are issued from "rhhautomation@rotaryhalifaxharbour.ca" and 902-707-3022. For your convenience and to ensure you always receive our alerts, we recommend saving these contacts to avoid them being filtered as spam. While the provided phone number cannot receive calls or texts, we plan to expand its capabilities to meet future needs.

 

 

For security and simplicity, Rotary Ping was originally exclusively available to club members. However, we are pleased to announce that non-members can now sign up for alerts as well. If there are any changes to your contact information, such as your cell phone number or email, please update your details in the alert system, or contact us for assistance. We will send unsolicited email and text alerts for urgent updates, such as last-minute meeting changes, and transactional alerts if you opt into specific notifications. Annually, we will remind you of this system to ensure it continues to serve your needs effectively.
