They work in partnership with the Halifax Reginal Municipality, the Hotel Association of Nova Scotia, and participating industry members. You can watch the presentation from Ross here: https://youtu.be/ZAMeo83-OUs
ShelterBox - Earthquake Response
The International Committee has responded to the earthquake in Turkey and Syria. We will be giving $1,000 from our existing international budget to ShelterBox, who are on the ground now. Additionally, Rotary International has opened a disaster fund with money directed toward that disaster zone. We will also be giving $1,000 from our existing international budget to the disaster fund.

Mentorship Program Launch
Mike Gibson and the membership committee have launched the Mentorship Program. While there will be more details shared later, each new member will be assigned a mentor to assist them through various activities and learn about Rotary. We are expecting some new members shortly.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Mike Gibson.
RibFest Performance Clarification
During the assembly, the financial results of RibFest were shared. At this point, our final number is around -$177. While this is disappointing, we have to clarify that this number is after we have donated to the various non-profit and charitable groups that participate in RibFest.
As part of our operations, we donated:
  • around $4,700 to DASC which they collected at the door
  • around $2,800 to the Boys and Girls Club they collected at the door
  • around $2,500 between two basketball teams that volunteered for waste management
  • around $200 to NSCC International Group who volunteered for waste management
  • around $3,000 to the first aid group
If you have any questions, please reach out to Ashley.
