The True Rotarian Award: A Symbol of Rotary's Core Values

The recipient of this award exemplifies what it means to have a Rotary Attitude.

Characteristics of a True Rotarian

A True Rotarian is someone whose actions are consistently aligned with Rotary's 4-Way Test:

  1. Is it the truth?
  2. Is it fair to all concerned?
  3. Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
  4. Will it be beneficial to all concerned?

This Rotarian's conduct is marked by humility. They do not seek to flatter wealth or boast about their possessions or achievements. Instead, they communicate with frankness, sincerity, and sympathy. Even when differences of opinion arise, a True Rotarian continues to support the activities of others, regardless of differing directions.

Words are backed by deeds, reflecting a genuine concern for the rights and feelings of others. A True Rotarian stands out in any company, embodying honor and integrity.
