On December 9, 2024, Rotary Halifax Harbour partnered with Rogers, Jack 92.9, and the Northwood Foundation to bring holiday cheer to seniors as part of the “Christmas Card & Giving Tree Campaign.” The event, known as "Jack's Festive Fave," took place from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Northwood Residences, marking the culmination of this heartwarming initiative.

For over a decade, this campaign has fostered kindness by encouraging community members to write heartfelt messages in Christmas cards for Northwood residents. Alongside the cards, small gifts such as chocolates, puzzle books, and lotions were collected and distributed to brighten the holiday season for seniors.

Rogers, a key partner in this initiative, was represented by fellow Rotary Halifax Harbour member Michelle Hughes, who played an instrumental role in supporting the event. Club president Dave Kowlessar was also present, helping to hand out cards and connect with residents, demonstrating Rotary’s commitment to service and fellowship.

The collaboration between Rogers, Jack 92.9, Northwood Foundation, and Rotary Halifax Harbour exemplifies the power of partnership in making a positive impact. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed cards, gifts, or their time to make this event a success and bring joy to those who need it most during the holidays.
