On September 28 and 29, Rotary Halifax Harbour members rolled up their sleeves to run the bar at the Magnetic World Music Festival in Halifax. This incredible opportunity not only offered a fun and rewarding volunteer experience but also helped raise an astounding $27,000 to support the club’s many impactful projects.

As part of the partnership, our club received tips and a portion of the bar sales in exchange for managing the bar operations throughout the festival. The event was a great example of how volunteering can blend community involvement with meaningful fundraising.

Why This Matters

The funds raised from the Magnetic World Music Festival will go directly toward supporting the wide range of service projects and initiatives Rotary Halifax Harbour undertakes. From local community programs to global humanitarian efforts, these funds help us live out Rotary’s mission of Service Above Self and make a tangible difference.

A Big Thank You!

We’d like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the organizers of the Magnetic World Music Festival for entrusting us with this important role. Thank you also to the festival-goers who supported the bar and contributed to the success of this initiative.

Lastly, a huge round of applause to our amazing club volunteers who made this possible. Your dedication, teamwork, and enthusiasm ensured the bar ran smoothly and made a lasting impression on the festival.

This event was a shining example of how Rotary’s values of service and community engagement can come to life in creative and impactful ways. Here’s to more opportunities to serve, connect, and raise funds for the causes we care about!
