Not at our club.

Yes, Rotary has traditions—and we respect them. But at Rotary Halifax Harbour, we also believe connection, laughter, and a little mud on your boots are just as important as agendas and service reports.

This past weekend, our members laced up for a 15KM hike through Long Lake Provincial Park. It wasn’t a meeting. It wasn’t a fundraiser. It was something just as vital: fellowship.

We explored a mix of forested trails, rocky back-country paths, and peaceful lakeside stretches. There were stream crossings, shared snacks, and even a spontaneous swim. No suits, no speeches—just friends, fresh air, and the kind of community that makes Rotary meaningful.

Discover Long Lake Provincial Park

Located just minutes from downtown Halifax, Long Lake Provincial Park is a natural gem. With wide multi-use trails and more rugged wilderness routes, it offers something for every kind of explorer. Hike, run, swim, paddle, or just relax by the water—this park is a perfect place to slow down and reconnect.

We think Rotary should feel like that too. Welcoming. Refreshing. Grounded in purpose and people.

If you want to make a difference—and make friends while you do it—we’d love to meet you.
