At our Friday morning breakfast meeting, we take the time to introduce and recognize Rotary Clubs from around the world.
This week we recognize the Rotary Club of Honolulu. This club was chartered on June 1st, 1915. (Fun fact, the state of Hawaii has 48 clubs!) They have been meeting at the same location, The Royal Hawaiian Hotel, since 1961. They are renowned for creating, developing, and maintaining the Children’s Justice Center and also created and maintained the Friends of Foster Children. This club works throughout the United States.
The club hosts many fundraisers, the biggest being the Friends of Foster Children Picnic that can see over 10,000 people attend.
Please join us in toasting the Rotary Club of Honolulu! Thank you, Valerie, for this toast.
