Another great way to start a Friday. O Canada, Rotary Minute, great breakfast buffet at the Westin.  We heard about some happy moments, particularly relating to Zone training in Moncton last weekend and a New Members' Orientation at Louisa's, also last weekend.

The business included an update on our November fellowship event - we will have a Games Night at Ian's on the 20th.

We are planning a Membership Event - Andrew is taking a leave and so Adam and Paul are taking the lead on an event in January.  We are also starting a planning process for a Signature Community Event - Bonnie is leading this process.  This will be the subject of an Assembly early in 2012 - think about potential projects.  The International Committee has met - plans are all on target and we are considering support for a district project involving sending school buses to Cameroon.

Our Youth Exchange student will present at our next meeting.  Hilary has presented on the Exchange program at schools and we plan to do interviews on December 5th for our next outbound student. The Oxford Interact Club met this week - Louisa attended and heard about an idea to sell mittens that someone is knitting and giving to them.  They are also interested in the idea of a Water Walk for next spring. Erin, Hilary and Bonnie are all willing to help Gail with the website.

Louisa is working on having two promotional banners designed. December 2nd is our AGM - Val is working on nominations for next year's Board.  Think about options to serve your Club. Several special presentations were made - ADG Clarke presented a Paul Harris Fellowship to Gerry.  The ADG also had a RLI pin for Louisa to acknowledge completion of three levels of training. Finally, Louisa had the pleasure of inducting Maria Reyes to the Club - Maria has a long history of Rotary involvement and we are thrilled that she chose to join us.  In addition, Louisa welcomed Mike Waghorn back to the Club after a leave.

Wine bottle game - we played Rock-Paper-Scissors to identify a winner - it was Mike Waghorn this week.  Congrats!
