2026-04-01 00:00:00Z Mar. 31, 2026 Environmental Month Apr. 01, 2026

Rotary Environmental Month, observed in April, is a time when Rotary International and its clubs focus on environmental issues and initiatives. This observance aligns with Rotary's area of focus on supporting the environment, which was officially added in 2020.

During this month, Rotary clubs around the world engage in various activities and projects aimed at environmental conservation and sustainability. These can include:
  1. Planting Trees: Many Rotary clubs organize tree planting events to contribute to reforestation and improve local ecosystems.
  2. Cleanup Campaigns: Clubs may participate in or organize local cleanup activities in parks, beaches, rivers, and other natural areas.
  3. Education and Awareness Programs: These are aimed at informing the public about environmental issues and promoting sustainable practices.
  4. Supporting Sustainable Practices: Projects that encourage the use of renewable energy, waste reduction, recycling, and conservation of natural resources.
  5. Collaborating with Environmental Organizations: Working with local, national, or international environmental groups to amplify the impact of their efforts.
  6. Promoting Sustainable Agriculture: Supporting projects that encourage environmentally friendly farming practices.
  7. Climate Change Initiatives: Engaging in activities that address the impacts and causes of climate change.
Rotary's focus on the environment underscores its commitment to creating a more sustainable future and acknowledges the interconnectedness of all its areas of focus, including promoting peace, fighting disease, providing clean water, saving mothers and children, supporting education, and growing local economies. Environmental Month is a key time for Rotary clubs to highlight and advance their efforts in environmental conservation and sustainability.

2026-06-01 00:00:00Z May 31, 2026 Rotary Fellowships Month Jun. 01, 2026
Rotary Fellowships Month is observed in June by Rotary International. This month celebrates the Rotary Fellowships, which are international, independently organized groups of Rotarians, Rotarian spouses, and Rotaractors who share a common passion. Being part of a Rotary Fellowship is a fun way to make friends around the world, explore a hobby or profession, and enhance your Rotary experience.

Rotary Fellowships cover a wide range of interests and hobbies. These groups provide opportunities for members to:
  1. Connect Globally: Fellowships are a great way to meet people from around the world who share a common interest.
  2. Share Skills and Expertise: Many fellowships are based on professional interests and provide a platform for sharing expertise and knowledge.
  3. Enjoy Shared Activities: Whether it’s travelling, photography, or sports, fellowships offer activities that members can enjoy together.
  4. Serve Communities: Some fellowships engage in service projects that align with their common interests, furthering Rotary’s mission of service.
  5. Enhance Professional and Personal Development: Being part of a fellowship can offer opportunities for personal and professional growth.
During Rotary Fellowships Month, clubs and districts are encouraged to promote these groups, celebrate their activities, and invite members to join existing fellowships or start new ones. It's a time to recognize the value of fellowships in enhancing the Rotary experience, fostering international friendship and collaboration, and promoting the enjoyment of shared interests.
