Anita started her business in 2011 to help organizations share their message with the world at large. But what she quickly realized was that so many organizations have the capability to do this for themselves, but what they don’t have is the experience, education and strategic mindset to build momentum. The secret to succeeding in your online marketing, she states, is getting the right strategies, systems and tech in place — and then showing up consistently and authentically.

2026-01-01 00:00:00Z Dec. 31, 2025 Vocational Service Month Jan. 01, 2026
Rotary Vocational Service Month is an annual observance by Rotary International, typically held in January. It focuses on the concept of vocational service, which is one of Rotary's Five Avenues of Service. The purpose of this month is to encourage Rotarians to focus on and celebrate the importance of high ethical standards in business and professions, to recognize the dignity and value of all useful occupations, and to contribute their vocational talents to solving the problems of society and meeting the needs of the community.

During this month, Rotary clubs and members are encouraged to undertake activities that highlight vocational service in their communities. This can include recognizing local businesses or professionals who exemplify high ethical standards, organizing career guidance initiatives for youth, or engaging in projects that contribute to professional development and ethics. It's a time for Rotarians to reflect on their own professions and to consider how they can use their professional skills to help address community needs and problems.

Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month
Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month Feb. 01, 2026
Rotary Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention Month is observed in February by Rotary International. This month is dedicated to promoting peace, understanding, and conflict resolution. Rotary clubs around the world engage in various activities and initiatives to foster peace in their communities and internationally.

Key aspects of this observance include:
  1. Peace Education and Advocacy: Rotary clubs may host events, seminars, or workshops focused on educating members and the public about conflict prevention and peacebuilding strategies.
  2. Support for Peace Fellowships and Programs: Rotary supports a number of educational programs, including Rotary Peace Fellowships, which fund master's degree studies in peace and conflict resolution at Rotary Peace Centers located in universities worldwide.
  3. Community Service Projects: Clubs often undertake community service projects aimed at addressing local issues that could lead to conflict, such as poverty, inequality, or lack of access to education and healthcare.
  4. International Partnerships and Projects: Rotary clubs may collaborate with clubs in other countries or participate in global grant projects that promote peace and conflict resolution.
  5. Dialogue and Reconciliation Initiatives: Efforts to foster dialogue and understanding among diverse groups within communities can be a focus, helping to build bridges and reduce tensions.
Through these activities, Rotary International and its members seek to build a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change across the globe, in our communities, and in ourselves, with a strong emphasis on peace and conflict prevention.

2026-02-23 00:00:00Z Feb. 22, 2026 Rotary Anniversary Feb. 23, 2026
February 23 is significant to Rotary because it marks the anniversary of the first Rotary club meeting. On February 23, 1905, Rotary International was founded by Paul P. Harris and three other businessmen in Chicago, Illinois. This day is celebrated as Rotary's anniversary and is a time for Rotarians worldwide to reflect on the organization's history, its achievements in community service, and its ongoing commitment to humanitarian causes.

Rotary has since grown into a global network of over 1.2 million members, with clubs in almost every country. The anniversary serves as a reminder of the organization's core values and its mission to provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace.

Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH) Month at Rotary is observed in March. It's a time when Rotary International and its clubs around the world focus on projects and initiatives related to providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene education in communities in need. This observance aligns with Rotary's commitment to solving global challenges and supporting sustainable projects.

Key aspects of WASH Month include:
  1. Water Projects: These might involve building or repairing wells, installing rainwater harvesting systems, or providing filtration equipment to ensure access to clean drinking water.
  2. Sanitation Initiatives: This can include constructing or upgrading sanitation facilities, like toilets and sewage treatment plants, especially in areas where such infrastructure is lacking or inadequate.
  3. Hygiene Education: Rotary clubs often engage in awareness campaigns or educational programs to teach communities about the importance of good hygiene practices, which is crucial for preventing waterborne diseases.
  4. Collaborations and Partnerships: Rotary clubs may collaborate with local governments, NGOs, and other organizations to maximize the impact of their WASH projects.
  5. Sustainable Solutions: A focus on long-term, sustainable solutions is key, ensuring that the benefits of these projects continue for years to come.
