The Rotaract Club of Halifax is hosting two fundraisers for Youth Exchange and local underprivileged children. The first is social media based fundraiser where the winner will walk away with $500. The second is a book sale @ Alderney Market Saturday July 16. 
The social media based (Facebook and Instagram) fundraiser is called “Pick a Square Fundraiser” and begins Friday, July 15. Each square costs $10 and there are 100 squares. The winner will take half the pot ($500). The other half will go towards Youth Exchange.
 
The Rotary Youth Exchange Program allows students to learn a new language, discover another culture, and truly become global citizens. Exchange is for students aged 15-19 and are sponsored by Rotary Clubs in more than 100 countries. Rotaract Halifax hopes to contribute to sponsoring an underprivileged high school student.

Also checkout their book sale on Saturday, July 16th @ Alderney Market between 8AM - 1 PM. Funds raised from this fundraiser will be used to help underprivileged children in HRM.
