Melanoma, when found early, is easily cured in an outpatient setting.

Steve Fine, with a Ph.D. in chemistry, is the president of the Melanoma Education Foundation, founded after the loss of his son to melanoma in 1998. Formerly an Assistant Professor at Lafayette College, he transitioned into technical management in the chemical industry. Since 2000, Steve has been fully committed to the foundation, emphasizing melanoma education for educators with free online resources for early detection. These resources have been utilized by over 1,700 schools across North America, demonstrating a profound impact on health education.

The foundation’s recent initiatives have reached over 300 Rotary clubs through virtual sessions focusing on early melanoma detection and prevention. Steve’s dedicated efforts continue to inform and save lives.
