The Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour is pleased to honour Dr. Ardra L. Cole with a Paul Harris Fellowship.

“Old age is the most important time of life for people to have companion animals” says Ardra Cole, a retired professor of education at Mount Saint Vincent University and the founder of ElderDog Canada, a national charity devoted to keeping seniors and their dogs together. Ardra has loved dogs all her life and with the focus of a seasoned researcher has drawn attention to the need to keep seniors and their dogs together and the myriad of benefits to seniors in caring for their dogs. Ardra has often used the phrase “ joyful responsibility” in speaking about the power and the poignancy of loving pets throughout life. The Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour is pleased to honour Ardra Cole and her work in making the world a better place.
