As Rotarians, we are #PeopleOfAction! We may not define ourselves as "project managers", but we do use many of the skills, tools, and methods of project management. We are all Rotary Project Managers.

We will look at ways to manage Rotary projects better and increase our impact in the world. Whether you are an experienced project manager, completely new, or anywhere in between, we want to share ways to take your projects to the next level.

This podcast is a project of the Rotary Club of Halifax Harbour.

Understanding and working with stakeholders effectively is critical to a successful project. It could mean the difference between success and failure. Effective stakeholder engagement can make our projects more effective, take less time, and use fewer resources.

In this episode, Rotarian Chris Hornberger talks about what stakeholders are, why they are important, and how to analyze them.

What is a project, and what is project management? When we say “projects”, Rotarians may think of service projects. But projects exist in almost every area of Rotary. Good project management can push Rotary projects forward and, in turn, increase impact in the world.

In this first episode, Rotarian Yemi Olaniyi talks about how he got involved in Rotary and how projects can be the key to a more significant global impact. Yemi’s advice is, “projectize and simplify.”
