At our Friday morning breakfast meeting, we take the time to introduce and recognize Rotary Clubs from around the world.
This week we recognized the Rotary Club of Mönchengladbach Gero. Chartered in 2013, they are located in Mönchengladbach, Germany, 30 km west is the Dutch border and 30 km east of the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital of Düsseldorf.

Mönchengladbach is famous for the internationally renowned Museum Abteiberg, the Lower Rhine Symphony Orchestra, the University of Niederrhein, the “Bunter Garten” city park, and the carnival Bundesliga club “Borussia Mönchengladbach”.
Our two clubs connected when a Rotarian of Mönchengladbach Gero reached out for help with university student housing help in Halifax for their child. We are happy to share that Halifax Harbour member Ashley will host the student in the Fall of 2022.
Please join us in toasting the Rotary Club of Mönchengladbach Gero! Thank you, Ashley, for this toast.
