Rotary’s impact extends far beyond our community. Rotary International and our club have a rich history of global engagement, supporting initiatives like ShelterBox, The Aninga Project, Roll Out the Barrel, Kiva, and, of course, the Polio Plus campaign.
What some may not know is that several years ago, under the leadership of our past president, Godfred, our club successfully carried out a Global Grant project in Ghana. This initiative provided crucial support to the local community, and this year, we’re excited to continue this legacy by applying for another Global Grant to install Micro Flush toilets in Kumasi, Ghana.
International projects are a key part of who we are as Rotarians. They reflect our commitment to creating lasting change, both at home and around the world. As we launch our international committee for the year, we’re welcoming both new and former members to join us for a special meeting on October 24th at 6:00 PM. This will be a fantastic opportunity to hear about the Global Grant project and collaborate on our international goals for the upcoming year.
Godfred and Chris Hornberger would be thrilled to have you with us as we map out this important work. Whether you're passionate about global service or just curious to learn more, your voice is valuable in shaping our club's impact.
