May is Youth Service Month, a time to highlight how Rotary empowers and uplifts youth around the world. One of Rotary’s most impactful youth programs is Rotary Youth Exchange — and this year, our club has had the joy of hosting Jules from Italy.

Jules has spent the past year living and learning in Nova Scotia, and he's made the most of every moment! From hiking coastal trails with Rotarians, to skiing with fellow students, cheering at Mooseheads games, and sharing his culture with youth from around the world — Jules’ exchange experience has been nothing short of extraordinary.

What is Rotary Youth Exchange?

Rotary Youth Exchange provides high school students aged 15-18 the opportunity to:

  • Attend school in another country

  • Live with local host families

  • Learn a new language and culture

  • Build international friendships

  • Serve as ambassadors for peace and understanding

It’s a life-changing experience — not just for the students, but also for the families, schools, and communities they become part of.

Thank You to Our Host Families and Volunteers

Youth Exchange is made possible through the dedication of local Rotary clubs, volunteers, and host families who open their homes and hearts to students like Jules. We’re grateful for your support in making this experience unforgettable.
